iTunes Store RSS App Fetcher

I think thats the longest title I could think off… or is it? Anyways… with regards to the questions and/or complaints I have gotten about my (somewhat “crappy”) itunes parser which I wrote in the past, I decided to quickly put together a new parser, just for fetching specific app data.

So, what did I do? Well, it basicly parses the data from the “Apple – iTunes – RSS Generator” and shows it for you in your browser. This could be usefull for those of you that want to implement real-time iTunes appstore data into your website.

BUT… please keep in mind that I have written this very quickly in 56 minutes (because I want to go to bed now, the time is 00:22  😥 ).

Requirements? Well, only that you have php-curl installed, which I guess most of you have.

How to use it? Here is a code example of my test.php (included in the ZIP file):

And this is the result:

I have uploaded the script, and you are allowed to download it, IF… you press the facebook “like” button 😉
Please keep in mind that you use the script at own risk! There is NO support on the script, but do feel free to submit your questions/comments in the comment box below. The script is (off course) free off charge for both personal and commercial use (if you find use for it), but you are not allowed to remove any credits and/or links to the author (that me!).

Unfortunately I have not got the time yet to document the functions but hopefully I will do this asap.

Please let me know what you think of it!

Best regards,

Paul Peelen
